Granted, the copies are only one generation removed from the "original" but even at 40x / 24x read /write speeds I don't get anything that's not present on the source disc. I do think most copy & burn programs have error checking built in, but it's quite possible that old or faulty CDR drives introduce some of the anomalies mentioned by JH. WXPN is at 88.5 FM in Philadelphia, and is also carried over the air in Harrisburg PA, and Worton and Baltimore MD (on different frequencies). WXPN is also live on the net at wxpn.org. Usual disclaimers apply. I will be away from radio and computer next Sunday. Hope someone can tape it. Her web site has no performance time, so I thought I'd spread the word... On Friday, May 24, she'll be part of a panel discussion called "XX Factor: Songs for, by and about women" (with two other people) and then perform on her own from 9:15 to 10:30 (and, I fervently hope, since she is the last act of the evening, she'll go over her time limit!). The other two people on the panel are Jackie Tice and Steve Brosky, who will perform at 8:00, after the panel discussion, which starts at 7:00. To make better sense of it, here it is in chronological order: 7:00 XX Factor panel discussion 8:00 Jackie Tice and Steve Brosky 9:15 Susan Werner Did I mention that Mayfair is FREE? That's right, folks, you get to see Suze in concert for FREE! Not to mention all the other fantastic musicians and artists on the schedule. For more information on Mayfair, go to www.mygoguide.com and click on the "Mayfair 2002" link (the direct URL is hideous and I'm too lazy to type it all, sorry). That'll give you the schedule and the lowdown on all the other artists... BTW, I plan to be there Friday night, but only for the concert; I can't get there for the panel discussion. I'm going to try to find my Susan Werner baseball shirt, so I'll wear that if it still fits. If you see me, identify yourself! I plan to bring several newbies with me, and I fully expect to leave with them completely converted... leslie HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V6 #104 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
