While in NYC last week meeting with my new label, I pulled the bone-head move of all time and left my cherished 1972 D-35 Martin guitar in the trunk of a NYC taxi cab. Ugh!!! I feel like part of me has been lopped off at the joint. The taxi driver never popped the trunk and drove off before I could react. And no, I didn't get a receipt so... We've covered all bases at this point -- pawn & guitar shops, taxi & limo commission, police precincts---but so far, nothing. So please, PLEASE, if all of you friends and fans out there can, send a prayer out for Rusty (the trusty guitar). I feel he is out there all alone instead of safe at home with me. And if you're so inclined, spread the word, chat it up, email a friend. Maybe Rusty will find his way back. He's in a bright red Calton hardshell case with a silver name plate--Alice Peacock--on it. If you have any information, please call Toby at 510.834.2600. The more positive vibes the better -- THANK YOU, thank you, thank you... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Charlie Sweeney (=}===# Virtual Guitarist-Something Black http://somethingblack.com http://susanwerner.com http://karensavoca.com http://xfsmusic.org HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Apr 2002 21:08:08 -0500 From: "Charisse D. Alice will be opening for Cheryl Wheeler in Pasadena Saturday night. On Friday night at the same venue is Tom Paxton. Paxton wrote The Last Thing on My Mind. Last night I saw, for the second week in a row, these two interesting fellas who call themselves Y'all. They sang The Last Thing on My Mind.
