One day I'll see Susan perform live maybe! What about that UK tour, hey?? Here's my request, - is there anyone able to buy the new CD for me at one of the shows and send it to me in the UK? I'll then send something you'd like from England in return. This would at present seem the only way to get a copy of the new album, unless any of you have any other ideas? Just one set with a two song encore. The whole show was about 1:15 I think. >> I agree - but I think that was because it was a Thursday nite - audience had to work in the a.m.! And Kris, sorry I didn't register you - I do remember seeing the baby carrier going out the front door.... And Mosh, great to put a face to that name, too! (Mosh was making himself very useful racking up sales and making change (correctly we hope!) for CD sales.) The new CD - I agree with previous posts that said it had a very "live" feel. For those of you that don't get to shows very often, it is closest to the sound quality of Suze in concert. No ad libs, tho.... I also think this CD has a very "midwestern" feel - even more so than MSN. This is the real midwest, not the stereotype. Sort of a back to her roots thing - maybe connected to moving back to Chicago, too. The verdict is still out on "everybody's talking" - not sure if I like it or not. But I am VERY glad May I Suggest made the cut. That's all for now - DD and I have tickets for Cheryl Wheeler Thanksgiving Sat in Newport (NH). Any believers gonna be at that one? As I've mentioned - Everybody's Talkin' is intriguing me at this point. Also, I realized just today how it fits into a theme of the CD. Shade of Gray is about everybody having an opinion resulting in so much noise, Everybody's Talkin' is the same idea - I don't hear a word they say. Stationary is the desire to seek shelter from it all. Barbed Wire Boys is about men who are stationary and have found shelter from the noise, but at what price? Still working on this idea.
