Who's going to the show in Piermont, NY? George and Susan maybe? WOJ? Sharon?

And by the way, I haven't posted in quite a long while but noticed my Susie 
alias "Jazz Lawyer" in a post about a week ago where someone was asking if I 
had made a certain post. It was NOT me.

Since I am posting now I would like to say this about the recent atmosphere 
on the list. An unexamined life is not worth living. But enjoying Susan is 
what the list is for, and I personally prefer that there be a minimum of 
non-Susan related material posted. Certainly contentious conversation is 
often best conducted off-list.

Lastly, the jazz lawyer is also a registered nurse of twenty years, and I 
presently work in NYC for the Nurses Association. Emotions are running high 
since the bombing of 9/11, as would be expected since we are at war on our 
own soil. May I suggest that it is always good to understand that you have 
absolutely no idea what is happening in peoples lives and so it is not for us 
to be so critical of that which we know little? 

A man traveling on the subway had just lost his wife and was in deep thought, 
not noticing that his kids were running wild. He was asked to keep them more 
quiet, to which he responded that their mother had just died and it had been 
pretty rough on them and he was sorry they were so disruptive. Talk about 
feeling like a schmuck for being upset over the children's noise. I am sure 
the man who asked wished he had been more compassionate in the first place. 
You never know what one may endure, so be kind, and remember what we learned 
in kindergarten. 

May God Bless you all, and give you peace in these troubled times.
