They don't want any competition. I do get a little suspicious when I see "we're already working on it." I once sent an idea to the LA Dodgers. It wasn't really a money- making idea, just a way of speeding up the line at the box office. They wrote back, "We've been considering this idea for several months." Within a month or two they put it into effect. Just wanted to let any interested believers out there know that I have *one* extra ticket for Susan's show with Ellis at the Somerville Theater next weekend. The seat is a good one - orchestra center, row M, seat 8. Whoever takes the seat will be sitting alone, as I'll be seated up in the balcony with friends, but we can wave at each other! =) If you are interested, please email me asap. Thanks! Now, let me get this straight: The song is aired on a national radio show causing hundreds, yea even thousands, of people to say, "Where can we get this song? Where can we get this CD?" Only to find out you can't get the album except at a show. The idea of getting the song played on Car Talk was a good one in the abstract coming from fans who want Susan to get higher exposer. But coming from management that has no mechanism in place to market the CD, it sounds rather foolish to me. And if you think Ron Rosen, Kellie Lin Knott, and Jeff Wasilko are going to service thousands of Car Talk listeners....
