My own comment is that by early next week, God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll have the official track list. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To: believers@smoe.org From: Margaret Barker Subject: Brazil? Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" ; format="flowed" As long as we're lobbying... I make my plea for Brazil and Beautiful Chains of Love. I haven't heard her do the former in over a year (and only caught the latter by "accident" during her Kerrville soundcheck...). "Brazil" is so beautiful... does anyone know why she took it out of rotation? Remember her bit about working an exchange program with Brazil: Statue of Liberty for the Giant Jesus (who just stood perfectly still...)? There's something to be said for taking vacation alone, since "in Brazil I had no shadow" and "I finally did not think of you." And with the Portuguese interlude... Come on, does anyone else love this song??? I've got to go listen to my live recordings... Margaret ps: It's Okay to Feel Good, Last Go Around, Too Many Rooms, Big Car, I Can't Be New, Perigee, Karla Faye... I guess I need to vote for that triple-CD box set... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Charlie (=}===# Listen to your Yahoo! It's called "Looking Up" and I'm listening to it right now. It's beautiful, and I encourage you all to download it. It's about 4.04 megs. You can get it at: http://mp3.washingtonpost.com/bands/cletus_kennelly.shtml If you want a copy of the lyrics, just email me - I didn't want to post them here to save some space. - --Sally sallyagreen@hotmail.com _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Sep 2001 16:33:42 -0600 From: JH Subject: Nobody's all Saturday night; nobody's all Sunday Morning For all of you attending the Susan show this weekend at the Cedar in Minneapolis, you should know that it coincides with a great show at the Turf Club, featuring bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley and many special guests. After enjoying Susan's wonderful music and acerbic and fey comments, roll on down to the old Turf and check out what's happening. If any of you have heard the Ralph Stanley release, this concert diptych is a recreation of the Saturday Night/Sunday Morning idea. Drinking, gambling and murder ballads on Saturday night at the Turf Club, and religious material with the same artists on Sunday evening at House of Mercy 499 Wacouta, St. Paul. More info is here: http://www.houseofmercy.org/ Tony Glover, The Carpetbaggers, Accident Clearinghouse, and others will be playing in this unique event.
