I read about this in our local paper today. The way the article read, Clear Channel did indeed circulate such a list, but they did not "ban" the songs; they just "suggested" that the songs would be best left off the air. They were very careful to say that the final decisions were left to the individual program directors. That said, I think the list exists in some form, and I wouldn't be surprised if Clear Channel "files away" the list of directors who choose not to follow the "suggestion"... But that's just paranoid me. leslie On Thu, 20 Sep 2001, meredith wrote: > Sorry to add to this thread, but I think it's appropriate. > > >CLEAR CHANNEL SAYS NATIONAL "BANNED PLAYLIST" > >DOES NOT EXIST HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V5 #176 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
