I was quite surprised that they even had Live at Tin Angel. Barnes and Nobles, and most of the record stores I went to when I wanted to buy her CDs did not have any. So, if anyone wants to opt out of the mail order route check out Borders. I don't know if it is better for SW to sell her CDs online or via brick and mortar stores. DOes it make a difference to the artist? One more option is to buy from the artist at shows. I asked this question of Susan and her manager when TBT was released and got the definitive answer: Buy it wherever you ar most comfortable buying it :-) Real definitive, huh? When you buy from a retail source whether brick and mortar or online these sales get thrown into the mix when reorder time rolls around. Retailers look at turn rateas to determine how many to reorder, and these are big orders. So retail or online sales generate larger reorders. If you buy from the artist at a show, a larger percentage of the sale goes directly to the performer, since there is no middle man. Some clubs and festivals charge a percentage, some don't and some only charge a percentage if they provide the personnel for the actual sales table. Still generally speaking more goes directly to the artist. RE: "May I Suggest" I spoke with Susan's manager about this tune being included on the new CD. There are two recorded versions available: one a standard studio version and one a live version from Kerrville. The Kerrville recording had not arrived as of Monday, so the quality is unknown. What is known is that neither Susan nor her manager are totally happy with the studio version, which was done on a makeup date at the studio. Your requests for this song have been made known, and every effort will be made to get this tune on the album. Hell, I wnat it on there , too!
