Unfortunately I won't be able to go to falcon ridge this year (no wedding - I just have to work;-) Andrew Kerr opened for Susan. He's so funny and entertaining (and part of "Live from New York") - he will have a new CD out in July - check him out - it`s worth it for such goodies as "Rock Star" , "respect your fans, Britney" and others). Susan was in awesome shape: witty, chatty and really enjoying herself -and what was most striking for me at least highly interactive - engaging the audience in open discussions in a very Passm like way and completely diferrent from the show I attended in NYC last year. Especially after she played "Karla Faye" (a Mary Gauthier cover that will be on her upcoming cd) she started a discussion about the death penalty. She also told us that the new cd is progressing very well and that she hadn't played for 2 years at Passim (oh gosh ... this was definitely very good timing on my part) So here's the set list - I hope most of it is correct - I had to write it down in the dark and some say I should need a license for my handwriting:) time between trains shade of gray blue guitar too many rooms karla fay big car misery - happiness bonsai sorry about jesus all of the above tall drink of water maybe if i sang cole porter no one needs to know light sleeper much at all so nice seeing you again - -------- standing in my own way may i suggest the last one blew me away instantly - do anything to make her play it: kneel down, recite Shakespeare in some Klingon dialect- it's soo incredible. best, ~Reinhard =========================== So farewell to the old me Farewell to the old me My life is working better now It's always changing anyhow Dar Williams HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V5 #108 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
