I ran sound for her and John Gorka on Friday night, and they both put on a great show. Alice said that she lives not too far from Susan in Chicago. That is, if the post-Memorial Day Friday evening traffic lets us get there in time!! While I'm here, a note about the King of Prussia show on Sunday: it was very good. The thunderous downpour that passed through just beforehand got out of the way in time to let things start on schedule, and Susan managed to stay awake long enough to put on a good show. (After she left the stage at Kerrville on Saturday, she had about two hours of down time before she had to get to the airport to journey back to PA. Yowch.) Teri Hendrix, the opener was pretty good, too. She was accompanied by Lloyd Mains (among other things, he's the father of the lead Dixie Chick, whoo-hoo), who joined Susan during her set for a blistering rendition of "Angel From Montgomery" that featured Susan's friend, the local jazz singer Xan Gardiner on vocals. Yow. That woman can *sing*. Looking forward to seeing some of y'all this weekend, ======================================= Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth "things are more beautiful when they're obscure" -- veda hille ======================================= Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://www.smoe.org/meth/muzak.html HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V5 #96 ****************************** --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
