(and, for a little inductive proof, we just caught richard shindell performing with a band at the iron horse and it was FUCKING AWESOME.) >(Like BRING 'ROUND THE BOAT sans the bass or MONTGOMERY STREET without >the trumpet). i've heard susan perform "bring round the boat" several times and she filled it out nicely with some neckwork and guitar effects. i didn't miss the bass at all. woj HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2001 21:05:50 EST From: MargeryR@aol.com Subject: Regarding SW and a "band" While it might be nice to have some background accompaniment to Susan on the road, it would seem very expensive and cumbersome to travel with a band and perhaps an unnecessary "luxury". As long as she gets the right sound on the CD's, we can get the "master mix" that way. While she's on the road, we have the benefit of her stage charm and purity which provide a different experience and, as someone pointed out earlier, one that we can cherish as her fans. But can we take them on the road with solo guitar or piano? Only if they are good. Could Brittney Spears do her show singing to one guitar? Nuff said.
