If you click on "musical links" you will find links to virtually everybody who is anybody in folk music. A good reference page if you're looking for who's out there or if you just want to check out your favorites and don't want to bookmark everybody. The direct link to the page is http://www.birchmere.com/index.htm . Bunny (in sunny Florida) HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Mar 2001 20:21:34 -0500 From: steve Subject: SW tree signup call Believers, Thank you to all who responded to our survey of interest in a potential SW live-recording "tree". We are delighted to report there is sufficient demand and ability to duplicate CDs within our membership, and we now offer signups to the list. This is open to everyone, whether you replied to the survey or not. However, all interested persons must sign up through here. Read about trees: http://www.jmdl.com/trading/faqtree.htm read more about B&P: http://www.mcnichol.com/bnp/ Thanks to the folks whose URLs we have referenced. Exchange between branch and leaf may also be by even trade: two cdrs of non-commercial recordings (any band) from the leaf in return for the two tree CDRs. Each side pays its own postage, etc. No other variations are acceptable. To help our non-USA friends who have no access to USA postage, branches will be willing to accept payment of US $4.00 (Canada); $6.00 (elsewhere) and will supply discs, mailer, postage. The tree is distributing a recording of Susan's performance on 8-13-1999 at the Bull Run in Shirley, MA. It was made from the audience using a high quality DAT recorder and binaural microphones. Listening on headphones, you will experience the show as if seated at the front left table near the stage. You will hear many comments from the audience, as well as every word and note uttered by Susan. The show itself is a brilliant performance; she is at the summit of wit and voice. It is perhaps the best of the 100+ live Susan shows we've heard. Call for artwork: We have no capacity to produce liners and ask for volunteers. Needed are scans of pictures (from this gig especially) formatted as inlay cards if possible. It would be wonderful if someone could post these to a website for downloading and printing. Please help! Any questions? Email stevemtl@somethingblack.com and we'll attempt to answer. Potential branches, please be sure that you can duplicate CDRs with dao (disc-at-once) only. [If you have an older tao burner--track at once--which leaves 2-second blank gaps between continuous tracks, please sign up as a leaf]. We'll post the structure shortly after March 26th. Thanks to Charlie, SW's management, and of course to Susan.
