I've got the scoop on that show. How? Well, i was the one who made it happen. Good times, good times. I was the Chairperson for the Concert Committee that year and brought Susan and Amherst alum Jonatha Brooke to the Front Room that fall. The show was not broadcast. Any other questions? The East coast is where the folk scene in America is thriving and the more west you go the less frequent the shows truly get. Check any big name performer's schedule. 75% of the shows are east of the Mississippi. Philadelphia seems to be a better base to operate from unless she plans on doing LOTS of driving and flying to hit all those shows between Maine and North Carolina. Just curious even though it really isn't any of my business. She said that she wanted to be closer to her family. Although she's from Iowa, I got the impression that she also had family in Chicago. She assured me that she wouldn't be touring any less frequently, especially on the East Coast. Must be a tough life being on the road all the time, so I'm sure when she goes home she wants it to really feel like "home". Kris >Anybody out there know why Susan moved to Chicago? KPFK recently cancelled the show. The good news is that Northern California station KPIG is now broadcasting the show 24 hours a day at www.kpig.com.
