The first three shows of this new tour have been excellent. I know this sounds like damning with faint praise but Susan again "mixes it up" and keeps it fresh, new and exciting even for those of us who see an incredible number of her shows. Ruthie Foster brought down the house on Saturday night in Northampton; an average musician doesn't stand a chance opening for Susan but in my opinion Ruthie is in her league. Apologies in advance if I have just duplicated other posts or messed up any new song titles (is a consensus emerging for some of the ones I have hypenated?) and especially for completing failing to capture any sense of the atmosphere which you really deserve to know about. Others who were there, please help me out and/or correct any mistakes I made. Having started grad school three weeks ago, I am about a month behind reading the digest and feel a bit 'disconnected'...very well adjusted otherwise. It does feel good to finally live about 10 miles away from the Iron Horse and be able to call it a "hometown" show. but now, my econ mid-term really, really _does_ beckon at 9am Monday morning (gotta love a 'quarter' system) but this was a nice diversion. See some of you at the Four Corners in a few days and at Circle of Friends on Sat. (2) more section links in the right frame. that is, instead of the "andthensome" link leading to an index page with links to the photo gallery, press, alter egos and postcards, just have those sub-sections linked to from the right frame as well. (2a) on a related note, i think having a link in the right frame which says something about song samples would be good too since i don't think it's obvious that the "merchandise" link would lead to such things. likewise, if there were lyrics available through the site, i would have a link to them in the navigation frame as well -- even if it leads to the same place -- so it's easy for people to find that stuff. (3) a news page! duh. i don't know why i didn't think of that before. i'm not suggesting details of all happenings in susan's life, but items of interest outside of tour dates. i dunno what the new newsletter is like yet, but if it's article-oriented, maybe that should go up there as well. woj HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Oct 2000 00:49:06 -0400 From: bocce ball Subject: Re: setlist: 10-1-00 The Mansion - Middletown, NY when we last left our heroes, Keith Richardson exclaimed: >Apologies in advance if I have just duplicated other posts or messed up >any new song titles (is a consensus emerging for some of the ones I have >hypenated?) and especially for completing failing to capture any sense >of the atmosphere which you really deserve to know about.
