Wow! Some really spirited conversation going on here lately! And, as Forrest Gump so eloquently said, "that's all I have to say about that." (Ron can affirm that I am the Queen of Avoiding Conflict, right Counselor?) I have a question that has nagged me for a while which recent conversations have brought to the forefront of my mind--what exactly is "smoe"? I figured it was just some domain, but you "list old-timers" are talking about it fondly and I thought the letters might stand or something significant? Just curious...:) Laura (Southern Believer #1, Nashville Fan #2) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get Yahoo! No kidding. You forgot to mention the 8554 times "Mr. Jones" was played on the jukebox in that 7 hour period. And crazy guy. And wheelchair guy. And the origami shrine our table turned into. And how our waitress thought we were nuts by the end of it all. :) Laura inquired: >I have a question that has nagged me for a while which recent >conversations have brought to the forefront of my mind--what exactly is >"smoe"? No kidding, if you want to see ugly, you should see some of the mail from Fiddle-L, yeah, the fiddlers list! Believe it or not, they are really cranky!!! Sometimes they are so politically incorrect, it's fun! Personally, I've never heard David Roth (I liked David Lee Roth), but the latest issue of 'Sing Out" gave one of his CDs a mighty fine review. Is he 'message - y? I only like that when it's subtle. Any Patty Larkin fans on this list? She has a new CD coming out that is supposed to be awesome. She used to answers letters that my son would send her, and hung his artwork on her wall. At the age of 6 Patty used to say he was her littlest biggest fan. She is WAY overdue for a visit to the Pacific Northwest. I have read that her new CD is good, though unlike her previous music. Exactly what that means, I don't know. It made me wonder how some of these people got early copies of her new CD. But she sure is talented, and I know I'll buy the new CD without listening to it beforehand.
