The first time I saw her was at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival in '95; she opened for Mary-Chapin Carpenter, another of my favorite performers. THAT'S a double-billing we'll probably never see again, but it was great! She probably picked up a lot of Chattanooga fans through that show, since there's generally several thousand folks for the "big" shows at Riverbend (usually she plays on a small amphitheatre stage under a bridge--there are 5 stages at Riverbend, and music all evening for 8 nights!) Riverbend is in June every year, which is why she sings "it was June in Chattanooga. . ." on "Man I Used to Love." She's been here 4 or 5 different years, with packed crowds every time. I've got my fingers crossed that she'll be here again this June! Laura (Southern Believer) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo!
