I searched all her CDs and can not find this song. I found it very moving, especially how Susan sang it. What I am wondering is : what is the tittle of this song? who wrote it? where can I get a copy of it performed by Susan? Thank you for your assistance. I will be listening to Susan's music during my ride home in the snow today (NJ) with my fingers crossed that someone can help me out. Kaskela" Subject: SW @ Godfrey Daniels (late show) Hi All- Just returned from the late show at Godfrey Daniels in Bethlehem, Pa. If you're wondering where the name comes from it is from the old W.C.Fields movies where, not being able to get a good "God Damn" past the censors he resorted to "GODfrey DANiels!!". Which we learned between acts when the young art teacher, who had recently restored an antique bust of W.C. to original condition for the venue, was thanked and roundly applauded. Anyway... The show was opened by a young Tennessee transplant, Sam Mustafa, who now lives in the Bethlehem area. If you get a chance, GO SEE HIM! He is a really funny and entertaining performer whose take-off on a Lyle Lovett song about family had people rolling in the aisles. He asked if there were "any Believers in the house?" and a number of hands went up. He said at the early show people thought he was talking about some kind of religious thing, but for those not in the know the believers were the online Susan fan club (of whom he is a member). He also quipped that he had actually only come to see Susan's show, but someone heard he could play and handed him a guitar... At the break Leslie, a fellow believer who I saw but didn't get to meet last year at G.D., came over and introduced herself. When she asked if I had my pin I had to tell her I was still waiting for them (5- just like the new shirt) to arrive. Oh well. We still found each other! Susan was really "Susan at her best" again! (Does she EVER throw in a clunker or sleep-walk through a show?) Or will this string of great shows just go on and on? Here's the setlist The Perigee Petaluma Afternoon Gotta See The Body The Year of the Bad President Vagabond Mouth Time Between Trains Sorry About Jesus My Mother's Garden Jesus Christ, Ain't I Lonely Tonight No One Needs To Know Maybe If I Sang Cole Porter Lets Do It Movie Of My Life Misery/ Happiness Dow Re Mi and as an encore Heart of Gold Born A Little Late (The Baby Boomer Song) Had a chance to talk with Susan briefly after the show. Since I was listening to WXPN's Kids Corner with Kathy O'Connell on the ride up I mentioned that she was going on a cruise tomorrow morning. Since Trout Fishing In America is also on the "folk cruise- the ultimate oxymoron" in Susan's words, and Kathy is their biggest fan, guess what ship she'll be on!! Lucky lady!! I also talked with her about tonight's version of Cole Porter which featured a long piano intro as well as a medley of clips from "I've Got You Under My Skin", "Concentrate On You", "Easy To Love" and "Let's Do It" which then led her into a half learned spur-of-the-moment full lenght version of "Lets Do It". When I asked about the rumor she had re-recorded "My Mother's Garden" for inclusion in a new football movie she said she had been asked the same question recently but that she "knew nothing about it" and "was it in On Any Given Sunday?". I told her the title I'd heard was 'At A Moments Notice' and quipped "I hope they at least send you the royalty check!" but she said if there was one the publishing company would get that! Last but not least, talking about the next album, she said the songs are ready but since Bottom Line Records is in the process of being bought by a new Canadian owner, nothing can happen untill the deal is finalized. When will that be? Soon... SHE HOPES!! Me too!! And "Dat's All, Folks!"
