She did about 5 numbers and left room for the charms of susan werner there was clearly a loud cheering section who knew susan's music to the left of the stage and I sat with the Pauliny party of close to 20- thanks GP for the seat. susan was in great voice and humor- she was "shaking off requests like pitches" she sang three new songs, the one about closeness and the moon, No one needs to know, and the blue guitar- she did Time between trains, like bonzai, the Dow song (that slayed em in NYC) and the movie of my life and If i sang cole porter -both at the piano-also for the owner of hte pen and pencil of Philly i have deemed susan the closest we have in folk to the vocals of aretha franklin- susan was bending notes, singing thru them , with the notes, and doing magical things to her songs that only the queen of soul can do- it was amazing even though the set was short- christine lavin puts on a comedy adventure, with the new age senstive guy choir and her digital sampler machine echoing herself and everyone else we even had mr NYC 2000 crowned last night... needless to say it was a great show and i am envious i will miss the turningpoint show on sunday- you guys better take notes... we all had a great time. i asked susan if she will be at FRFF and she said it is a good possibility... sharonG i am glad erin sang saturday- she does a great job and is a great lady..and likes the vocals of SW HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V4 #4 ***************************** --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
