Steve writes back: I have some great virus hoax pages within Compaq that I use to stop these things dead in their tracks. Unfortunatly, it's really the first person who was doing the deceiving, and everyone after that was being deceived (even though they are my friends, they are very gullible ones). So I sometimes feel bad telling the person who included me on the dist list with the 50 or so other people that it's "just a hoax" but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. And when you tell them, it's best to cut and paste the official "this is a hoax" note from whatever source you got it from so you can add some meat to the bones and make a bigger impact and hopefully work toward the goal of STOPPING IT! Most recent hoaxes that stand out in my mind that are totally rediculious and have no base in truth are "anti perspirant causes breast cancer" and "watch out for kidney theives". Thanks for the bookmarks.
