You get to listen to The Mountain locally insteadd of over the web like I have to (of course, we in Philly have WXPN, which is just as good). You are very lucky to have a radio station that gives newer, artsts some airtime before they have established themselves commercially, AND they pull it off on a commercial station! I mention this on the list mainly because those if you who are not in the Philadelphia, Harrisburg or Baltimore area and can't get WXPN might want to check out the station (you can listen on line, as I do, at www.kmtt.com). It's really a unique format, and I think a lot of Susan fans will like it. -Terry - ----Original Message Follows---- Hi, I live in Seattle and have been cloaked (on the list) for quite some time. Even though I adore Susan and her music, I often feel like I have little to offer as much of the discussion seems to center arount seeing Susan live, which I only get to do once a year. So let me know how living in Western Washington is useful, as I live to serve. Don't feel TOO sorry for those of us in the Pacific Northwest, AKA the "Upper West Side of the U.S." Susan will be in Seattle on Saturday, March 4th, after an 18 month absence. Boy, will we be ready! She'll be at a venue near Univ. of WA, seating capacity @250. The last two times she has been here, even though the 2nd venue was larger than the first, it was still packed. She has so many fans out here, I have no doubt that she'll fill up this new venue. I know I'll be there with @ a dozen friends in tow. Hi Tammy, >>> "So let me know how living in Western Washington is useful, >>> as I live to serve." After Zoe Gillman hosted a Christine Lavin concert at the Whidbey Island High School (and broadcast live over the internet to an interactive audience - I left a note about this a couple of weeks ago) I asked her to persue Susan. She had never heard of Susan. I compiled a tape for her and sent it to her. She LOVES it. I have created a new Susan Fan!!!! She wanted to know how many "believers" are in the area (as part of her feasibility study). So far, I've heard from two (you and my good friend Pamela). The way I left it is this... I asked her to just attend this March 4th concert in Seattle; Sat, Mar 04, 2000 8:00 p.m. Susan Werner The Paradox Theater , Seattle, WA 877-340-3458 rock, folk, alternative, acoustic ... and check out the turnout. Although there may not be a lot of folks on the believers list that are from Seattle, I think that Susan will get a big crowd no matter where she plays. Maybe it's just a dream, but I had so much fun participating in the Christine Lavin Internet Concert that I want to do it again with Susan. It's totally self centered on my part I guess :-) Zoe's Address is Jlg@whidbey.net.
