I have just seen Susan for the 11th time last night. She performed for 2 shows at the Maintenance Shop in Ames, IA. I finally met her too. I was worried about coming off as a groupie. I was very impressed with how nice and genuine she was. I am sure it is hard to do that with all of the fans that she sees. She seems like she would be a really cool person to know as a friend. Well, about the music... The first show was pretty full and the music was great as usual. We were going to go home and call it a night until we heard that we could stay for the second show for a reduced rate. We couldn't pass it up. The second show has significantly lower attendance since it was at 10pm on Sunday night. That was the best show I have seen yet. She played a lot of different things for the people that stayed and some of the same things from the first show. I don't think that any of us ever mind the repeats...I have worn my cds out doing that at home. :-) So if Susan ever reads this the Ames show was great. I don't think that most singers would stray from the set list like that at the request of a fan. Thanks for many great shows so far and many more to come (especially in Iowa).
