This is a concert you don't want to miss. It will be Don's second visit to Robin's Nest, and we can't wait to hear him again! With guitar, drum, and a variety of other instruments at his fingertips you may not know what to expect, but you can be sure that it will be terrific. Don is a wonderful singer who writes wonderful songs about love and loss and yearning and truth. His guitar playing is extraordinary. So come out and hear some old favorites plus songs from his new CD, Mysterious Light. Doors open at 7pm; show starts at 7:30; $10 donation for the artist; dessert, coffee and tea will be served at the break. Be aware that cats roam the premises! House concerts are so great... There's nothing like sitting 6-10 feet away from a great performer -- who needs a big-screen TV? I had an unusual "feelgood" experience at one recently where Bill and Mary Muse (Two Muses - www.fbg.net/2muses/) were performing -- after the concert was over and we were finishing off the munchies and just mingling in general, Mary came up to me and said that she really appreciated my being there, because she had noticed me smiling at the random lyrical twists in various songs, which to her signified that I really was into the performance... The musical appreciation of a house concert is definitely a two way street!!! So, definitely go check out Don, or any OTHER house concert you're aware of, if you've never done it... Don's also doing one here in a couple weeks.... I tried to get Susan booked for one during her upcoming Texas swing (no pun intended), but she got booked to LA instead...
