That stops today with my gleeful announcement that Susan and I will be in the same place at the same time, and Susan will be singing! A vacation to the Northeast will land me at the Upper Merion Township show on September 5th. Thanks to the Bearded One, I'll be proudly wearing my Believer pin at my first-ever Susan show. After that, I'll be praying she makes it back to South Florida someday - and there is a rumor she's going to be here for a Broward Folk Club benefit dinner in January. Anybody have any info on that? Anyway, hope to meet some fellow Believers. I'll be the one beaming ecstatically -- or does everyone look like that at a Susan Werner concert? I'm leaving Thursday morning for Colorado, can't wait! Seventeen hours of driving (each way) to see Susan, no problem. Oh, and John Prine and Mary Chapin Carpenter, etc. ;-) To Gregg Humphrey, David Rohricht, and any other SW fans: I'm afraid to commit to meeting at a specific time/place since I don't really know the lay of the land. I'll probably get there around 2 Friday to set up camp. I'm 36, have brown hair, am in a wheelchair, and will wear my blue Hawaiian shirt Friday. I'm camping with two friends, both guys, one who is also in a wheelchair. Holler at me OK? Can't wait! WXPN was taping a Michaela Majoun (I never spell that right) interview with Moxy Früvous for the World Cafe to be aired October 1st, and Susan had come out to support her label-mates. No word on when she'll be doing a similar event :). It made my night to see her smiling and singing along. Thought you'd like to share in my good mood :). ~~Kate === Kate Leahy Student, Live Music Addict, Queen of Randomized Knowledge kleahy@loyola.edu katiewow@fruhead.com "and I feel like I'm losing my powers . . . all of my get-up-and-go is all gone . . ." - --moxy früvous, "earthquakes" _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Amy wondered: >I'll be the one beaming ecstatically -- or does everyone >look like that at a Susan Werner concert? Eventually, yeah -- when they're not doubled over from laughter at what's going on in between the songs, or sitting pensively, moved almost to tears at the power of songs like "Frank Lloyd Wright" etc. etc. etc. ... Have fun!!! My first Susan show was the first time I'd ever really heard of her, so the experience wasn't as significant at the time as it should have been. You're lucky you'll have a chance to really enjoy it for the event it is. +==========================================================================+ | Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org | | New Haven, CT USA http://www.smoe.org/~meth | +==========================================================================+ | ectofest '99: sat. sept. 4, 1999 kenosia park, danbury, ct | | http://www.ectofest.org | +==========================================================================+ HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Aug 1999 23:41:00 EDT From: PBCoustic@aol.com Subject: Re: Susan sighting :) In a message dated 08/18/1999 8:16:33 PM Central Daylight Time, ktwow@yahoo.com writes: << No word on when she'll be doing a similar event :). >> Susan did both World Cafe and another NPR show (Fresh Air?
