Second is that I'm going to miss a few shows in august and Susie will be on her own. If anyone wants to lend a hand selling cd's and helping her load in and out my guilty conscience will be a little bit better off (she doesn't know I'm asking for this help so let it be our little secret k?) Here are the dates I won't be there--8/5 in Madison WI, & 8/27-28 & 29 in various towns in Wisconsin. Nothing is wrong, I'm not sick, we're getting along fine, i'm not quitting-I have some commitments I can't break for those dates is all. So if any of you are planning on attending and can lend a hand I'm sure she'd appreciate it and I'll owe you one. We've got alot of shows coming up that we're real excited about and will look forward to bumping into you there. great job on the pins my bearded friend! I'll be keeping mine on my tuner pouch for sure. Susan is writing like crazy and happy to be close to family in the midwest this week. The next record, soon but I can't say exactly when. As we all know Susan doesn't just bang em out-each one is a quality piece and she'll make sure it's perfect before you hear it but I'll keep you all posted on any developments. Thanks for all your support and your help at the shows. See you soon-Jane ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Charlie Sweeney (=}===# Virtual Guitarist-Something Black http://somethingblack.com http://susanwerner.com http://karensavoca.com HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Aug 1999 13:20:06 EDT From: PBCoustic@aol.com Subject: Re: Jane's request In a message dated 8/4/99 9:59:42 AM Central Daylight Time, charlie@somethingblack.com writes: << If anyone wants to lend a hand selling cd's and helping her load in and out >> That's what I love about this whole folk/acoustic scene... getting to do stuff like this... and the fact that I'm sure Jane will get a very positive response to her plea! Personally, I've started volunteering at Calvin's here in Dallas, simply because everybody (including the artists) is just so damned friendly (and the music is so good)... I took my 11 yr old daughter to the Wildflower festival here last spring, and introduced her to various performers I've gotten to know over the last couple years who were playing sets during the day... after a while, she complained, "Gee, Dad -- you get to meet ALL your artists -- I'll NEVER meet the Backstreet Boys!" Just a word to all you believers out there -- if there's a local coffeehouse or something near you where you go to hear music, look into volunteering there -- the benefits are indescribable, yet numerous... and if I could fly up to Wisconsin, I'd be one of those helping out! BTW, I am currently doing my best to turn my email friends on my Ally McBeal mailing list into Susan fans. A discussion of where we all were at the time of Woodstock led me to post the lyrics to "Born a Little Late," and a few people are intrigued... so I think I have a few website addresses to send their way! - -Tim (spreading the gospel) HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V3 #165 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
