Spencer" Subject: smoe.org outage ( speed upgrade too! ) Hi all, Just got the word that smoe.org which hosts close to 100 e-mail lists and homepages will be moving to new digs next weekend. The physical servers will be moved from Massachusetts to Virginia, and going from an ISDN connection to to the internet to redundant T3 backbone which will improve speed dramatically. Please hold your mail starting at 11:59 PM Friday August 6th until Monday morning August 9th unless you receive mail from a smoe account, which will indicate the servers are up and running. Thanks for your cooperation, and a big thanks to Jeff Wasilko for the fast new service. I haven't vanished though we did stay longer than we planned. Sorry if you tried to email me and couldn't get through. I forgot to pay my ISP bill before I left and they disconnected me while I was gone (the rotten scoundrels). I assume Falcon Ridge was hot in many ways. Hope all found ways to stay cool and had a great time. The latest on the pins: Several of you have received them. I had a bunch of checks waiting at the PO when I returned. Thanks. A few of you haven't paid yet for the pins I sent, you know who you are. I will send pins to anyone who has sent payment ASAP. Those of you who asked me to send pins but but didn't send a check yet, well... I think I will wait for the checks at this point. The music store that said they would have more picks for me when I returned didn't. So I am ordering more from another source. Once they come in, the rest of the pins will go out. If you have sent payment, please give it two weeks as I can't send what I don't got. Do email directly if you need to panic and I will do my best to sooth your nerves. :-) Keep believing, "The Bearded One" HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Aug 1999 12:43:11 -0400 From: "Stephen N.
