Due to events beyond my control, I wasn't able to go to any 'bend nights this year. :(( What did you think? I heard a lot of talk that it (Riverbend), just wasn't very good overall. *shrug* Take care all! Her hair is now short. Short as in sleek and streamlined. Above the chin...not even close to her chin. Very cute. Svelte Svetlana. She looks gooooood. :) she started with Standing in My Own Way (with a small prelude about Brandi Chastain's "autogoal" in the World Cup game against Germany and how Susan often starts off her days with an an autogoal). My sister remarked how one thing she likes about susan is how she can improvise and incorporate relevant topics of the day into her banter and songs. next was LOTGSG, then Got to See the Body, followed by Year of the Bad President (with an intro that touched on JFK Jr.), a new song about a shy gene dating a flirt gene that could be called "Gypsy Lips, Vagabond Mouth". She also did Time Between Trains, Tappan Zee, Movie of My Life, Born a Little Late, and Help! At the signing table, I asked her how her writing is going, and she said that it's been going great, that she's on a roll...she seemed to be in really good spirits and i told her that she looked fabulous :) it was drizzling as she started to meet and greet at that tent, and within 10 minutes or so, it was raining pretty hard. It rained for a while...very big drops...nowhere to hide...oy. I'm tired now. My sister and I decided not to stay for sunday...we both would have liked to have seen susan's workshops on jazz songs and humorous songs as well as moxy fruvous on the main stage, but we didn't wish to spend the entire day there, pay 20 bucks each, get back late sunday evening, deal with the festival annoyances, etc...or maybe we're just losers. ;) Paul "tanned like a turnip" Kim HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V3 #154 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
