As someone mentioned, there is a message board and someone from the Believer's campsite could post directions to the camp for anyone who wants to camp there......As you know, I'll be camped with my usual crowd so that won't be me...... :-) We COULD just meet to the left side of any stage that Susan plays on 15 minutes before her performance or the start of the workshop.......For the main stage that puts us between the stage and the CD tent, and right by the "dancing" area set aside at the front of the stage, which is also good for folks who want to stand. We could also make a plan to meet at a certain time each day..........say, each morning at 11AM, Believer's could congregate in the open space between the food tent and the main stage........that way anyone who arrives late or somehow misses meeting other Believer's could be sure to find some then. Personally, I will be easy to find...........Just look for the scantily clad red-head walking around fairly covered in glitter wearing a painted paper bag on her head :-) PLEASE, stop me and say hi.......I'd love to meet you all ! This will be my fifth summer at FRFF. Email me privately if you have specific questions. Those with weekend camping tickets are allowed to camp Thursday night, and that is when you have to arrive to secure "prime locations". The New Artist Showcase begins Friday at noon. Twenty-four artists, each doing two songs. Great talent! Don't miss it if at all possible. You might discover your next favorite performer. The site is surrounded by rolling hills and is gorgeous. From the main stage area you can often see deer grazing at dusk across the road. The weather is unpredictable - bring raingear, sunscreen, and don't forget some warm clothing. No matter how hot it is during the day it can get surprisingly cold as you're tromping from campsite to campsite through the wet grass in the wee hours. Less than 3 weeks to go. - -jake- PS Susan will be at Circle of Friends on Nov 6th. Colleen Sexton will be opening the show. - -- Jake Jacobson mailto:jakej@ma.ultranet.com Circle of Friends Coffeehouse http://www.fusf.org/cof.html PO Box 21, Franklin, MA 02038 HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Jul 1999 22:54:15 EDT From: Loris1127@aol.com Subject: Re: believers-digest V3 #136 Hi all! Glad to hear that everyone enjoyed themselves in spite of the heat in New Bedford. I just want to state for the record that I made a sincere attempt to get there - all loaded in the car, sunscreen, hat, thermos of coffee (required no matter the temp), maps(!), complete schedule of shows and workshops (from the site Steve directed me to) - ready to enjoy! I got as far as Burlington, MA, before the clutch in my car decided this was a good time to quit working. I spent Saturday afternoon and early evening sitting in the Burlington Mall waiting for rescue. I had the air conditioning, but you guys had more fun! As a volunteer I will be there on thursday- are any other Believers volunteering??????? I will be happy to stake out a suitable area for the susanwerner campsite and leave a map and message on the noticeboard. However I do remember from last year that it took a while to get set up. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to go abouts setting this up. I will be happy to be the liason. Also at the festival I can be reached behind the main stage in the backsatge area. Also anyone out there going to the folk festival inthe Pines Theatre, Look Park, Northampton on sat aug 15th or maybe the 14th- all day event Great Line up- Great space-virtually my back yard. Hope to see many of you there Green Blessings, Tony(a) _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
