My name is Angie Armstrong, and I first heard Susan (and was blown away) when she opened for Moxy Fruvous in Toronto in February (I'm a huge Fruvous fan, but that's another story). Locally I've only been able to get "Time Between Trains," which I now cannot travel without. I know I can order others on-line, but can't decide which I should go for next. Any suggestions? I'm from Rochester, NY and will be at FalconRidge from Fri thru Sun, and I'm definitely going to be at the 12 Corners CoffeeHouse gig here in November.Umm, favorite songs are Time Between Trains, Bonsai, and Standing In My Own Way (sometimes I think I relate to that song way too much... but again, that's another story). I guess that's it. My musical tastes vary... I like music that makes me think, makes me feel, and makes me laugh (any wonder I like Susan?). I'm eagerly awaiting FRFF, and trying to decide how to squeeze another 3 cds into my budget ;^) - --Angie They say that the Road to Hell is paved with good intentions... well, at least it will be a smooth ride - --me ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com. Hi Angie, you bring up a timely point. We need to set up a meeting place for FRFF, and since i've never been, we need someone who *has* been to lead the effort. Courtney, anyone, you want to take over this discussion and suggest a rendezvous? I'll be there, and you'll see me walking around the lot in a SW t- shirt, or an Iowa wrestling team t-shirt, or an Appel Farm t-shirt with STAFF on the back. Or at night on the campgrounds with Something Black -I'll be the one with the brown guitar. You really captured the scene there except the part about how hot, hot, hot it was. I was a little surprised to see the acts staged under a large tent with chairs to sit in but as the day wore on the tent really saved us. I knew when it was almost time for Susan by the appearance of Jane-checking out all the details. By mid-afternoon when Susan came on the crowd had grown quite large. Susan was sporting a new shorter "do." As she took the stage you could tell from the applause that she had fans there. Here's the song list: TBT Tapanzee (A funny oxygen bar story) Got to See the Body Bad President Born A Little Late Help Movie of My Life Standing in My Own Way Her segment lasted about 1 hour. She seemed very at ease with the crowd and the heat didn't seem to bother her at all.(maybe it just bothered me!) Susan spent a long time hangin' out with indivdual fans, talking and picture-taking. It was great to finally view the SW pin prototypes, thanks to the Bearded One. The only negative comment I would make is that you just can't appreciate the quality and depth of Susan's voice in a tent atmosphere. Her voice sounded a lot "richer" when she later did her workshop inside the theater hall. Everyone have a great time at FR.
