Advance (to 2:00PM 6/4/99) $28.00 adults $24.00 seniors/students At the Gate (6/5/99) $32.00 adults $28.00 seniors/students Children 12 years and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets available on-line at the website or call 1-800-394-1211 between 8:30AM and 8:00PM. A Rain or Shine Event. All tickets are non-refundable. All programs subject to change. Last year the festival drew 10.5 k, which is large for a one day fest. There are children's activities all day, some really nice crafts, and good food, including vegetarian. The Grove Stage where Susan will be appearing is a small natural amphitheater, wooded on three sides and IMHO a wonderful place to hear music. It was at Appel Farm in 1993 that I first met Susan. Help? Hi believers ! I had Susan's website....www.susanwerner.com ..on my "favourite places" and never had any problems accessing in the past. Over the past weeks, however, I haven't got past the first screen. I e-mailed Charlie and did all he suggested, but I still can't move on from the first beige coloured screen with the black and white photo, the Billboard quote and and the news flash running along the top! Similarly I can no longer access the Postcards from the Road which I had on bookmark fave places. What can I do?? Any suggestions welcome! Please e-mail me if you can help! Haven't contributed for a while..but still reading you all with interest and still playing all the CDs ...especially LOTGSG just now. Met someone on (mid-England!) Saturday night who asked me where he could order all Susan's recorded stuff ...so another fan is born this side of the water! Sorry the England Tour didn't get off the ground, but not giving up hope! The URL for the postcards is http://www.susanwerner.com/html/postcards.html I don't think that has changed recently. Web Maestro, any suggestions? Help? I can access it fine. Sounds like something in your computer is "glitching". I would suggest a Scandisk and maybe a defrag. Then check your "free space". Maybe windows doesn't have enough room for the "swapfile". If you need more help - I can be reached via email at > dsousa@icanhelpcom. Help? Hi Rona, I don't have any suggestions about accessing the website (Dennis' suggestions sound the best). But, here's a website where you can get copies of Susan's first two, independent, albums, "Midwestern Saturday Night" & "Live At the Tin Angel" (and they're well worth having, believe me): http://www.ladyslipper.org/ First click on BROWSE OUR CATALOG Next click on ARTISTS Then click on COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF ARTISTS (not a button, but an underlined link) Then click on the letter W Then click on the WERNER, SUSAN underlined link Which will bring you to those two (2) items. Clicking on either of the titles will bring you to the section of the list where they're located. Their online catalog has mini reviews. I've copied their review of both albums for your information: Susan Werner - Live at the Tin Angel This wonderful 1993 independently-released live album is back in print! Her classically trained voice is pure and angelic; she runs the gamut from Piaf's La Vie En Rose to the jazzy Cole Porterish Maybe If I Sang Cole Porter to the rompin' stompin' country of Ain't I Lonely Tonight. Well-produced, with self-accompaniment on piano on guitar, this is a lovely and intimate recording from a very talented artist. CD: 15.98 Susan Werner - Midwestern Saturday Night Christine Lavin has called this Philadelphia artist "the fastest rising new star in the folk world," and this 1993 studio debut backs up the claim. Highlights are the title song about an old-fashioned date, the humorous Rubber Glove Blues (sex in the 90's), and the poignant Uncle John about the "unmarried" but not unloved family member. Accompaniment includes Julia Haines' Celtic harp, plus bass, percussion, harmonica, and Susan's piano, keyboards, and guitar. Cassette: 9.98...CD: 15.98 Their prices are in US$.
