Well, speaking only as one who lived in Iowa during 1981-89, I would guess more Iowans would be 'offended' that you didn't know about their wrestling team (NCAA #1 18 of the last 25 years), than about the humorous observation about their reproductive habits. ;-) http://www.hawkeyesports.com/wrestle/index2.htm (This isn't meant to be a flame. Realistically I don't expect Susan's fans to all share an interest in things Iowan. As an Iowa alumni, though, I couldn't resist an opportunity to educate others about Hawkeye Sports!) ;-) Cheers, Earl Higgins http://ehiggins.com HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Apr 1999 13:13:10 PDT From: "tony'a lemos" Subject: Re: believers-digest V3 #102 Hi all- in response to "Starting in May, we can begin plans for an encampment at FRFF. >I've recieved some mail from the E-fans about this, so we'll probably >try to move them over to believers to facilitate discussion. >Currently I'm thinking of placing the camp near or even next to >the Dar camp to allow pooling of resources, musical cross >fertilization, maximized schmooze time, etc. It's a pretty safe bet >Susan will visit." > >Its been a while since i verbalized any thoughts- i seem to have gotten caught up in business....looking forward to meeting many of you believers at FRFF- i think placing the susan camp nest to the DAR camp is a great idea...super great...fab.... fabulosa...know what i mean. Look forward to hearing more about this soon Hope you are all well for any of you who have not been to Falcon Ridge it is a must and if finances are tough they have a great workexchange program...i think there policy is that no-one gets turned away. Looking forward to the the new picture from Dave's shirt. Give us a couple of weeks and we should have a few nice choices ready to send your way. Re: FRFF: Sometimes the rest of the world just doesn't cooperate. I have to be in SC at a wedding and then on the beach with the annual in-law gathering. No doubt I'd rather be at Falcon Ridge but my boys have to come first. I will be thinking of y'all (have to practice my southern) and I'll send along buttons for someone to sell. Re: Jenny I got to see Amy and Jenny do the Guantanmera thing, complete with the jungle animal sounds, when they opened for Trout Fishing in America up hea in New Hampsha. Everything Charlie said about Jenny is true. And when Trout did their dinosaur thing right after Amy and Jenny did their Guantanmera thing, I swear the whole room started growing vines. It was great fun. If you haven't seen Trout and you can handle soem foolish fun, see them, especially a kids show. And do keep your eyes open for Jenny. (So much talent and so few venues.) Re: Iowan Wrestlers: They are some of the best in the nation so watch out. Yes, The Bearded One used to wrestle (no not like Jesse "The Body" Ventura). Re: New Hampsha: Don't forget that mid September date (the snow should be gone by then), when Susan returns to the Great Northeast (New Hampsha that is). And we too have a real honest-to-God grand piano anxiously waiting to sing Cole Porter, et al. I'm moving from California to Connecticut some time in August and will be spending lots of time in New Hampshire (old friends living there). Plan is to be at that mid-September date...well, it depends somewhat on whether that conflicts with other existing plans, but I look forward to meeting some other Believers there.
