Jane is always up to chat with fans, which is particularly amazing given the amount of work she does before, during and after the shows. She _is_ great. For for a button, I'd vote for "Susan Werner" around the top, "believers@smoe.org" around the bottom, both overlaying a picture of Susan. My favorite pictures are the inside front cover of LOTGSG (Susan in a leather jacket and sunglasses) or the profile shot that is silk screened on TBT CD. Would da Sooze be totally against? Last time this came up on a list I pay attention to (Catie Curtis'), I got chewed up for defending the performer. I argued all the ethical and financial arguements only to be overruled by Catie in the end (wouldn't cha know it). I really just wanted it to be easier for her to say no if she wanted to. If you know Catie though you wouldn't be surprised by her reaction. Of course it was OK with her (Her record company is probably pissed). On that list they made a CD. That's right, a CD distributed strictly at cost of the blank. Not only that, but at her shows she thanked the folks who did it because they sent a copy to her (of course) and she was able to relearn some songs she had forgotten that she played. Catie is great. Not as good as Susan of course, but great in a different kind of way. I better stop before I dig a deeper hole. What I really wanted to say is don't be surprised or disappointed if Sooze sayz no. There are a lot of "pressures" that would push her in that direction. But then again ... I moved to CA from MA (temporarily!) this past fall and I can't wait to see Susan! I'll be at both her show and Ellis Paul's. I think I have had the tickets for over a month. Susan's concerts are so moving, I usually don't bother with organizing a big group (I suppose that is not the best for her!).
