Were any of you guys at Susan's show at the Emelin Theatre in Mcammaroneck NY in January. It was an interesting show on a very stormy night. I was curious if anyone else saw it. I have not heard anyone mention it. It seemed that myself and mayber 10 other people had any idea who Susan was and the theatre which holds about 300 people was less than half full. The audiance was a complete dud and I think Susan sensed it. They were no fun at all despite some great performances by Susan. I am going to see Leo Kottke there tonight. Leo won't give two shits if they respond or not. hopefully these will be mostly his fans. Fortunately Susan plays the ny area a lot. Just want to say what a great time we all had at the 4 Corners in New London, NH Thursday night. I've been a fan of Susan's since I saw her as the opening act for Maria Mauldaur (remember her?) in Westboro, Massachusetts 5 or 6 years ago. I was so impressed that night with Susan's talent, I've since tried to catch her shows in the area whenever possible. Susan always gives a great show and Thursday's was no exception. It was really fun meeting other believers, Hi Kelly, Kris, Charlie (I know that's not your name but you have no choice but to change it at this point.) I agree that it would be great to find a way to be able to recognize each other at a show. We'll have to work on that. Hope to see some of you at Susan's show in Gardner, Ma in April ! Earl.... Did Susan perform while she was in college? I thought she didn't start until after graduate school. She's my age, so I know she graduated from high school in 1983, which would make her a college freshman when you saw her in 1984. I'd be curious to know what her repertoire was when she was so young. Do you remember what she did?? Was she writing then, or doing covers? Do I sound like a rather scarily fanatical groupie?? Okay, here's a loaded question; maybe Charlie can answer this one: how does Susan feel about the existence of bootleg tapes of her concerts? The reason I ask is that it would be so cool if we could put up RealAudio files of concerts, especially for the people in Europe and Australia (hi, Sherlyn!) who can't see the real thing. I think such tapes exist (don't have any myself, though), so if Susan is okay with it, I could make an audio archive of concerts. I could put it behind a password, if necessary, to limit it to believers. Those believers out there who have only heard recordings would be in for a real treat! I wouldn't do it without Susan's permission, though, and I'd have to have some kind souls admit that they own tapes and are willing to send me copies. What do you think? Would da Sooze be totally against?
