'Courting the Muse' - a real poem in song....surely the poetic Muse..silent inspiration, the creative influence ....but the artist has to be devoted to the art, forgetting all about material world... or it never can work! A friend of mine, on hearing it first, thought it was all about a woman-woman relationship...but no, I don't think so. I think that line chrisrussell found so memorable is especially so because it has all the force and hope of someone starting out, one day playing on the steps to the tourists...devoted to his music and nothing else..about to gain the gift of true inspiration...the next day..? His gain is her loss .....inspiration ever moving on.....where next? I'm analysing too much!! - you only need to listen to feel it all. The music, Susan's voice, the phrasing, all fit perfectly; the Muse was certainly with her when that one came to fruition. And back to St. Mary's. If DavidAyles was touched by my input on that song, I was certainly equally fascinated by his. And surely everyone agrees with Charlie that St. Mary's could well be the ultimate movie of life. A hidden track? A hidden movie? .. maybe. The choice of favourites has made good reading, hasn't it? Usually I find myself agreeing with everyone! .....light up the candles, Rona HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Jan 1999 09:59:22 +1100 (EST) From: Sherlyn Koo Subject: Re: Movie of My Life Hey folks, > Mrpeppermd@aol.com wrote: > At the end of the song "Movie of My Life" on TIME BETWEEN TRAINS, Susan says > the words "Yes, Yes, Yes" and then something unintelligible.
