Christopher: My first response was going to be that there is no predicting what Susan will or won't do. I've seen her do a performance in a hat shop, picking up and wearing one of the hats for most of the performance. I've seen her have someone in the audience demonstrate the cha cha. I've seen her walk around the audience at intermission with a notepad seeking requests for the second set. I mean, rigid, is not a term that I would associate with what I know of her. On the other hand, Chirstopher: What is it you're really after? You say you want her to dedicate a song to your girlfriend and you don't care what song it is? That suggests to me that there's no special song that has particular meaning to you, you just want to get some kind of satisfaction out of this that is irrelevant to Susan or her work? Am I on the right track? You just want to see if you can get Susan to dedicate a song to your girlfriend? I mean, your girlfriend is not seriously ill or something? ("I Still Believe") You are not getting married the next day? ("Tappan Zee" ;-)) Well I say, examine your motivation here and GIVE IT UP. Everyone on this list would probably like a dedication. (Not really.) Besides, Susan is liable to chew you up publicly with her rapier-like wit. You don't want that, do you? Meanwhile, I've got to go, Chris...I need to send Susan an e-mail asking her to dedicate the whole show to me for this stirring post. - Ron Rosen (Susan's First Nashville Fan, Even Though He Lives in L.A.) I think the bad weather keep a lot of people away. I believe the theatre holds about 300 and it appeared to be around half full. Susan played a great set highlighted by that fantastic version of "I can't stop loving you" that she likes to do. Susan also performed a wonderful "Travis style" finger-picked version of "The last of the good straight girls". I was a happy camper because she autographed my "Last of the good straight girls" CD sleeve. Unfortunately the crowd at this theatre did not seem to have much of a sense of humor, for what ever reason. and I think Susan sensed it. But thats ok, because her fans as usual had a great time.
