Eklund" Subject: Extra Track on TBT Hello all. Although a long-time Susan Werner fan, I'm new to this discussion forum, so if this question has already been asked and answered here, I apologize. However, I am curious.... I purchased my long-anticipated copy of Susan's latest CD several weeks ago. According to the cover information, there are 11 tracks, the last being Don McLean's "Vincent." However, I discovered, to my pleasure, that there's an extra song hidden on the CD after "Vincent" -- Susan's song which I think is titled "When They Make the Movie of My Life." Obviously, this is a mix-up on the producing, but does anyone know the story here. As I say, I am curious. TIA. EC.... Personally, I think it was a mistake to hide it. - -jeff HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 04 Nov 1998 23:17:33 -0500 From: desmond in a tutu Subject: Re: Extra Track on TBT also sprach Jeff Wasilko: >Personally, I think it was a mistake to hide it. personally, i think it was a mistake to hide it behind vincent. bleah! woj HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 04 Nov 1998 21:06:40 -0800 From: "J. Don McLean was the first singer-songwriter I loved; "Vincent" isn't his best but remains one of my favorite songs... and I *love* finding "ghost songs" (like "Movie of My Life") on albums, but agree that it may have been a mistake to hide this one. Don McLean was the first singer-songwriter I loved; "Vincent" >isn't his best but remains one of my favorite songs... the song is alright (though it does bring back painful memories of grade school art classes), but i don't think susan adds much to it with her rendition. it strikes me as a space-filler...especially when there are other songs of hers which have yet to make it to a record! that said, i've overcome most of the "issues" i had with the record early on. i'm still not particularly fond of how some of the songs sound, but i can overlook that and enjoy them now. "petaluma afternoons" is the current fave -- it so perfectly renders an image of a moment. mmmmm. woj HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V2 #181 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
