Brother I wish I could make it, but I've got to usher my friends' wedding. If I can sneak out to the show for a few minutes I won't be hard to spot. Always glad to see SW getting some show time in T-Town. Maybe next time she can get a gig at the Old Lady on Brady. It'd be cool to see her on stage flanked by those old pictures of Hank and Bob Wills. In other frustrating news, I thought SW was going to be at the Birchmere on Thursday, not Friday. I had to pick this weekend for a reunion in Ann Arbor. Dad Blame it! Oh well, maybe I'll stop in at Flem Tam before my beloved Wolverines get pasted by the Schmittany Lions. Steve, a few months ago there was a post from an OKCer who was planning to go, maybe you guys could meet up. An Ex-Okie in DC P.S. There are at least two SW songs with Okie references. If I miss her covering Okie From Muskogee I'll be bummed and really jealous of those of you in attendance. They play quite a bit of Susan (Bonsai about 15 minutes ago in fact). I can confirm that there are some great venues in the UK and Ireland - and the British pubs are not too bad either when it comes to the drinking bit!! I see from the itineraries that Susan seems to play a lot of venues in the New England area. I am glad to hear it lives up to it's name - so Susan should feel really at home if she comes to "old" England! Hope you all have a great time in Newport. There is one believer in Norway as well - namely myself :) Sadly enough I didn't have the chance to see Susan when I was in the US in September. Actually I had never heard her before I went there so I couldn't plan anything either. Thanks to Jeff I got a copy of 'Time Between Trains' when I was in Boston, and I also got the Tin Angel show. Hopefully she'll do and European tour - I would go far to see her that's for sure. - -- Yngve, who is tired after coming back from Finland and not sleeping much for a week. n.p.
