I have asked for an official statement from Susan's management. So here it is. Please read my note at the end. Date: 9/3/98 From: Golden Guru Entertainment Management for Susan Werner Susan's new album will be available on September 15. We have been asked the general question, "What's the best way to buy it?" Our general answer is "Please buy it however and from whomever you want to." The album is being released by Bottom Line Records which is distributed by BMG. So theoretically, it should be available at any retail outlet. But since Susan is still not a "huge" mega-artist in terms of mainstream commercial sales, you may have to shop a little harder than you would for the new Hootie record. The album will be available via the internet at songs.com. songs.com has been very supportive of Susan and many other artists in the folk community. It's a great site, and we encourage you to check it out, and to support them as well. songs.com also features real audio samples of music by many artists. On the retail store level, Borders usually has a good stock of Susan's music. In any event, we hope you like the album. The above is only offered as a suggestion. We do expect the album to be readily available at whatever your favorite store may be, both at retail and on-line. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Charlie sez) The press on this CD on the internet has been superb. This is a CD that's gonna stick in your machine 'til the laser burns thru it. I haven't listened to anything else since I got it. songs.com has Real Audio clips available, right now (with a special codec for high speed users as well as standard RA), and is ready to process orders for shipment to arrive on the release date. For those who need to fill out their collections, songs.com is offering a 3-fer-39.95 deal. http://songs.com If you want the CD on the release day, another strategy is to go to your favorite chain or local retailer, and order it now for delivery at release. And of course, you can always pick it up at the shows, or order online from any major. Most of the online outfits are prepared to take your order. I went to songs.com. I was amazed! I mean, I *know* the Internet is incredible. But the sound quality of the realaudio files was absolutely ASTONISHING. CD-quality audio, effectively streaming live from halfway around the world at peak usage time. Very very impressive. Oh, yeah, the songs sounded great too. *grin* - -sherlyn =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= a+e=ig Sherlyn Koo - sherlyn@fl.net.au [Sydney, Australia] "Well I've taken to talking to myself, And I don't even get it..." - Patty Larkin HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V2 #131 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
