Gullo" Subject: New Album debuts tomorrow on Philadelphia Radio To anyone living in the Philadelphia area - Michaela Majoun just announce that she will be playing tracks from the new album tomorrow during the Women's Music Hour, 9:00am on WXPN (88.5 FM). She talked quite a bit about the record, mentioning its name, that it was recorded in Nashville, and that it was being released on the Bottom Line label. I know Michaela is a fan of Susan's work, so she will probably give it a good plug tomorrow as well. **************************************************************************** ******************************************************************** Dennis M. Except you, Sherlyn :) You might very well win by default. Unless Charlie was joking about all this. But we know that Charlie doesn't joke. He'd die trying :) does Michaela premiering the album on WXPN interfere with the contest? does it handicap the WXPN area listeners? Do we have to have our ears chopped off or something in order to participate? Charlieeeeeeeee.. songs songs songs... "Your Old Mistake" - affects me in the same way that "Much At All" does...it sort of pains me to see Susan reveal a part of herself in these songs as a self-doubting fragile person...Not that that's a bad thing, but it's heartbreaking to see it expressed and performed so nakedly...I kinda wanna go up there and hug Susan after she performs these songs. Not only are the lyrics ("you turned away, distinctly unimpressed" "I guess I missed the changing of the seasons, I've seen enough new england in the fall, i've seen enough of anywhere we were together...") beautiful and touching, the music goes hand in hand with the lyrics, and the instrumentation...wow...whether she's coaxing the song out of the Parker Fly on "Mistake" or letting her fingers swim over the keyboard for "much at all", her talent shines through in a melancholy way...and there is no way that a woman this talented should have to be that sad... that's all i have to say for now.
