According to Susan's itinerary, she is to play a show at THE BIRCHMERE in Alexandria, Virginia on November 6, 1998. Does anyone have any information on that show? I have lived in Virginia my whole life, including four years in Alexandria, and I have never heard of The Birchmere. What is the street address of the place? Is it a bar, theatre, nightclub, coffeehouse? Has she ever played there before? Is it a good place to see a show? Any help is appreciated. Please, please respond. I'm going to drive 580 miles (one way!) to see Susan at the Iron Horse next Friday. It is good to see her playing in my back yard. Thanks in advance. Birchmere Restaurant 3901 Mount Vernon Ave, Alexandria, VA 22305-2223 Phone: (703)549-5919 I have never been to the Birchmere, but judging by the quality of the acts (Ellis Paul, Cheryl Wheeler, The Bobs, Moxy Fruvous, and Philly's own Grey Eye Glances are the first five names that popped up) it must be pretty good. BTW, Grey Eye Glances s a very good band- see them now or regret it later. I've been to a show at the old Birchmere (The Nields), but I've not been to their new location. The old place was quite nice and was condsidered an excellent venue for both the performer and the concert-goer. The old Birchmere was sort of a supperclub (similar to the Iron Horse) with tables and chairs. > Any help is appreciated. I'll be at that show (with a bunch of other folks). If you're going to be in New England on Sunday, you should go see Susan in Lincoln... - -Jeff HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at songs.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V2 #101 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
