Dear Don: You just missed it! We actually discussed whether the version on LOTGSG or the version on Live at the Tin Angel was superior. The version on Tin Angel is similar to what I've seen her perform - quieter. Most people who expressed an opinion came down on the side of Tin Angel. Someone, I can't remember who unfortunately, pointed out that people often prefer the version they hear first, which in my case was the LOTGSG version. I can't say that's the cause of my prefering the LOTGSG version, but it's an interesting point. Didn't work for you, however :) Welcome to the list. I used to think they were archived in a computer. RE: the LATA vs LOTGSG version. IMHO the version she is doing now is different from both. Same chords, same lyrics, different attitude, comes from a different place within her. In past years they have been $6 so I assume they will be this year as well - but don't quote me on that. They are outside unless there is a weather issue and then they are moved inside - if that happens, get there early as seating is very limited (we didn't get to see the Nields a few years ago because of it) You can bring dinner and picnic and just enjoy the summer nights - it's a WONDERFUL way to see a show - actually, the first time I ever saw Susan was at Concerts Under The Stars in 1995 when she played with Dar Williams - talk about a dream bill :) Hope this helps!
