Greetings! I'm new to this list, but I've been a fan of Susan's for some time... I've been trying to get to see her for about a year and a half, but it never seems to work out. Right now I live in San Francisco, but I happened to be in Ann Arbor the week Dar and Susan were there -- and I had to go to a wedding and miss the show. This is the kind of luck I've been having, and I'm starting to get discouraged. So, does anybody who has contact with Susan know if she's going to ever make a trip out to the Bay Area? Judging from the turnout we got for Dar last week in Berkeley (HUGE!), I have no doubt we'd be able to fill at least the Freight & Salvage with believers! I fell in love with Susan's music and personality at the Rockford = Folk Music Festival 4 or 5 years ago. Everyone reading knows how = great she is, but the Rockford Folk Fest was special because of the = workshops. She participated in a workshop in the old church (seating = limited to 40 people or so) on Songwriting (I believe) with Michael = Johnson and Willy Porter. What a wonderful opportunity to listen to = three accomplished people discuss their craft and enthusiasm. = Needless to say I bought "Live at Tin Angel" and "Midwestern Saturday = Night" immediately and have been hooked ever since. I am a co-founder of the Fondy Acoustic Music Alliance here in Fond = du Lac, Wisconsin and hope to bing Susan in one day. Unlike an = earlier contributor, we don't even get Susan Werner here as an = opening act. Fact is, Acoustic Music is having a rebirth of sorts = here. We've brought in Bill Staines and Mike Rayburn so far. Having = "grown up" at The Amazingrace, a terrific venue in Evanston, Illinois = in the Mid 70s and early 80s, I had almost given up on good = folk/acoustic music being here, but "I Still Believe."
