Paul Kim, what a surprise to see you here. Thanks to Jeff (hey Jeff) for smoe. And thanks to Susan for being Susan. :) I have a whole bunch of questions, so I'm just gonna kick 'em on out there... 1) *Is* the Panhandle narrow? *Is* the prairie plain? I could never figure out exactly what those lines meant. 2) What the heck is a ground cherry? 3) How many new songs does Susan have now? Awhile back I tried to make a list and came up with (all titles my guess): - "Bad at Love" - "Big White Bed" - "Boddhisattva and the Beamer" - "Fall From Grace" - "I'll Take It" - "Isobelle" - "Maybe" - "Pleasure to Be Here" - "Rockingham County" - "Time Between Trains" - "Time Was When" - the one about being stuck up in a tree - another one played on piano in Provincetown in August '96 that I can't remember a thing about except that fog was coming in through the doors while she was playing it and it looked cool. There must be more by now, right? Well, that's probably plenty for a first post so I'll stop there. I do have lots more questions but I can't remember any of them right now. Are you being sarcastic, Sherlyn? Huh? C'mon.... :) Um...the prairie is pretty darn plain...flat all the way out to the horizon and nothing but grass/wheat/farm stuff.... The panhandle...well...i'm not sure what panhandle you're talking about....if it's the Florida panhandle...well...i dunno...it's all a matter of perspective. Charlie! Sorry about missing you saturday and sunday in Philly...i can't believe that we didn't find each other...then again, there were tons of people in the audience... Dar rocked my butt...she is so freakin' brilliant...in every sense of the word...physically, mentally, emotionally, and in clarity too... that's enough for me Paul Kim ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jul 1997 22:54:21 -0400 From: Jeff Wasilko Subject: Re: A slew of questions On Sun, Jul 20, 1997 at 10:24:52PM -0400, Paul2k@aol.com wrote: > In a message dated 97-07-20 21:47:09 EDT, sherlyn@fl.net.au writes: > > > First of all, thanks to Charlie for getting this list set up! > > Paul Kim, what a surprise to see you here. I'd imagine the panhandle in question is the panhandle of Oklahoma, which is pretty narrow. - -Jeff ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 20 Jul 1997 23:10:10 -0400 (EDT) From: TashaZeb@aol.com Subject: Re: A slew of questions Hi all! This is my first post... Thanks again to Charlie! Um, well, I don't know if we're going to do the introduction thing, so I'll spare y'all. :) Just wanted to say that I _love_ Susan Werner's music! (surprise, surprise, why else would I be on this list???) And the postcard I once got from her is prominently displayed on my mirror (along with a photo of Paul Kim and Susan) so I am reminded of her (and him) each morning! :) When I entered NOMA's Falcon Ridge Essay contest, I used a line from "Born a Little Late" (i'm only 17 *gasp!*) And I was first runner-up! Yay! :) I unfortunately have not seen Susan for a long while... but glancing over Sherlyn's list, I've heard all but... 4 of new songs! Wow! And I can't wait to hear those too!
