Indeed Basia Trzetrzelewska quickly made a name for herself in a variety of genres. In 1987 she partnered with Matt Bianco band-mate Danny White for her solo debut, 'Time And Tide' and the follow up, 'London Warsaw New York', continued the success of the first by becoming her second platinum selling album. 'The Sweetest Illusion' CD followed in 1994 and although her first live collection, 'Basia On Broadway' was released a year later, fans had to wait fourteen more years for her next studio project. Titled 'Its That Girl Again' it showcased the enduring writing and performing partnership of Basia and Danny White while also featuring Danny's brother Peter on guitar. Now Basia is back with 'From Newport To London: Greatest Hits Live...And More' which will be released worldwide on September 13th. Recorded in ?sdz', Poland, 'From Newport To London: Greatest Hits Live...And More' includes fifteen live songs, including her signature hits 'Cruising For Bruising', 'New Day For You', 'Promises' and 'Time And Tide'. In addition the album has three new studio recordings penned and produced by Basia and White with one of them, the jazzy title track, being the first to be serviced to radio. To support the CD Basia is embarking on a twenty two date U.S. concert tour which opens at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis on September 6 and concludes on October 5 at the Triple Door in Seattle, WA. On tour, Basia will be backed by most of the same band that performed on the live album. The line-up is expected to be Danny White on keyboards, Marc Parnell on drums, guitarist Giorgio Serci, sax-man Paul Booth and backing vocalists Veronique Clarisse and Annick Clarisse-Willequet.
