My friend is the event coordinator for the casino and he said she was not well and would not sign CD's. Funny thing is, I think most of the audience never expected a signing. The lobby cleared out in a hurry. I saw Paul Booth having a drink with some fans afterward (there's a bar right outside the theater entrance). On his way out, Danny saw me and asked if we've met. I told him we spoke very briefly in Cleveland and that's probably what he remembered (what a memory!) and dropped Leslie's name as a friend. He was very gracious when I asked him if he could sign a couple of CD's that I brought. I now have his signature on my rarest: ESK 1276! He also signed my gold Time And Tide disc. It was a pleasure speaking with him for a few minutes. We saw the rest of the band leave but there was no sign of the Clarisse sisters or Basia herself. My only complaint was an over-enthusiastic lady sitting directly next to me who kept shouting Wooo! Wooo! at the top of her lungs. It got annoying after awhile. And the house mix was not the greatest. Unless Giorgio or Danny were doing anything solo it was very hard to hear them. Vocals were hot as was the sax. Nice theater though, it holds about 450 people and was obviously sold out. You could tell that there were some non-fans in the audience. Some lady kept shouting for "One Note Samba". Basia said she never recorded that and gently moved on. Years and years ago I saw Yes in the round in the DC area. Some guy was passed out on the 8th row seat next to me, and woke up every three or four songs to ask me what the band had played. He ended up with a complete play list, I guess so he could pretend to his friends that he'd actually been awake during the show. - - Steve - -----Original Message----- From: owner-basia@smoe.org [mailto:owner-basia@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Dennis Majewicz Sent: Sunday, October 31, 2010 10:14 AM To: basia@smoe.org Subject: Re: Basia set list We were disappointed again that we didn't get to meet Basia. Looking forward to hearing more about this tour, so I can live vicariously. :) If anyone wants anything on the site feel free to indicate that. As my FB friends know I killed two laptops this month, so all my BasiaWeb stuff is on various backup drives. I need to earmark some time to reassemble my little command center on this laptop, now that it's been fixed. There's also the BasiaWeb FanFotos Flickr group for people to upload their own concert photos. See basiaweb.com for the link...
