I mean, I don't really know how *we* can do anything to promote this being 
laymen and already all over the Web but in any case there's probably a whole 
different bunch of folks on that list, going by what a variety of different 
people are on my various lists and Twitter etc. I just remember the old days of 
hearing the announcement then jumping onto Ticketmaster or whatever and praying 
I get good tix. ;) 


People move really fast on this stuff now and web presence has to keep up.

But yes - it used to be that you'd hear the announcement and at 10 AM on
some given Monday morning, you'd line up and get your tickets.  Nowadays

By the way - we may all owe a mongo thank you to my beloved girlfriend Lisa
for the first news of the US tour.  Lisa was on travel weeks ago and
checking her email, and SHE was the person who first notified me that
Basia's November date had just been announced at the Ram's Head in
Annapolis.  Lisa's never heard or seen Basia but hears me talk about her all
the time, and Lisa knows I've been looking forward to the solo tour.  She
also knew that I had emailed the Ram's Head back in March and suggested they
book Basia.

So a few weeks ago, Lisa contacted me while on travel through New Mexico and
said "hey isn't this that vocalist you love", and I IMMEDIATELY bought the
tickets for the Annapolis show, then emailed this list to let you all know.

As best as I can tell, that was the first indication on this list - or
anywhere that I can tell - that the US tour was happening.

SO - we can all thank my wonderful girlfriend Lisa for that!

to the concert....the more successful, the more they get to bring us more music

By the way - we may all owe a mongo thank you to my beloved girlfriend Lisa
for the first news of the US tour.  Lisa was on travel weeks ago and
checking her email, and SHE was the person who first notified me that
Basia's November date had just been announced at the Ram's Head in
Annapolis.  Lisa's never heard or seen Basia but hears me talk about her all
the time, and Lisa knows I've been looking forward to the solo tour.  She
also knew that I had emailed the Ram's Head back in March and suggested they
book Basia.

So a few weeks ago, Lisa contacted me while on travel through New Mexico and
said "hey isn't this that vocalist you love", and I IMMEDIATELY bought the
tickets for the Annapolis show, then emailed this list to let you all know.

As best as I can tell, that was the first indication on this list - or
anywhere that I can tell - that the US tour was happening.

SO - we can all thank my wonderful girlfriend Lisa for that!
