I guess it's a good thing she didn't know, I'm much too shy anymore to sing a solo. Juan, I'm so happy for you that you got to see her. The only part about my show that I didn't like was a few times Danny was sitting at the keyboard with his hands in his lap, yet the piano part was still going on. I understand he might need to rest his hands a bit, but... I don't know, it just didn't sit right with me to see him doing that. Jacki In a message dated 5/29/2010 7:46:17 P.M. I remember in 2005 when he was setting up in San Antonio and he brought in a laptop that was the nerve center for his keyboards.... which is very sensible since he is the musical director of the show and is wearing a lot of hats. Heck most keyboards nowadays are computers! If it gives him a chance to take a moment's break and ensure the performance is the best it can be, then that's the professional way to do it. - -- Bev Okin-Larkin On 5/31/2010 9:22 AM, Somegirl99@aol.com wrote: > Basia didn't know it, but I was also singing backup all night long... > mostly I sang lead, but not too loud as to distract from her. Subject: Re: Jacksonville Show/Orlando show Hello again! It seems that everybody is on the move, now.... :-) Thelma wrote on my FB (some others also wrote their status about the show - making me curious) saying that Basia has begun her show in the US. I promised her that I will look up in the list ASAP, just to catch some things, and what I found is beyond my imagination... :-) From the mails I read, I can imagine that all of you have a lot of fun. OK, it's time for me to "jaw-dropped mode: ON".... :-D OK, I'll keep in touch as often as possible. It's great to hear Basia does her tour again, hopefully everything will be OK... :-) Have a nice day! :-) Desianto F. The show was a few minutes late getting started, and Basia said one of the back-up singers had just arrived from the airport The start was a little shaky, perhaps because of the late arrival, perhaps because they opened with one of the new songs, If Not Now Then When. Following, they went into some of the older numbers and the crowd really reacted. The band loosened up noticeably." The band had a hard 24 hours getting into the country with numerous issues-- flights, visas you name it. "They messed up the ending of one song, and I was very happy to see that Basia and all laughed about it and made a joke. So many performers would have thrown a fit and stormed off the stage." Love this. "My biggest surprise was seeing that there are a lot of Basia fans in town - fans who are not on this list. Ha." I've heard the turnout for this was huge. It makes me very happy to see how many other fans she has!
