Does that mean that they won't have success in Philippines if they play new songs? I would find it strange, cause I was always waiting for my favorite singers to come out with new albums. Of course, the entire album is about 50 minutes long so even assuming that she would sing every single song from ITGA there is still plenty of time left for the old ones but it is obvious, that - as this tour is to promote the new album - the artist wants to present the songs from it first of all. As for the old songs I would love to hear new arrangements for some of these: Time and tide, Promises, Ordinary people, Baby you're mine, Astrud, Brave new hope, Prayer of a happy housewife. Last tour, I met a bunch of Filipino fans after the LA show and they were like "Basia has to come play in the Philippines, SHE IS HUGE THERE! I had no idea but I was really impressed to hear that. They also told Danny and Basia this. > > But is it that T&T was huge there? > > Leslie > > > > ----- Original Message ---- > From: Brian Lochlaer > To: basia@smoe.org > Sent: Saturday, August 22, 2009 6:25:09 PM > Subject: Re: Which song would you vote for to open the show? > > > According to my wife, who is Filipino, Basia had better plan on doing mostly her '80s songs for her Philipine engagement. > > Personally, I would like Promises for the opener, and An Olive Tree to close. > > -Brian* > > --- On Sat, 8/22/09, Krysia Szurek wrote: > > From: Krysia Szurek > Subject: Which song would you vote for to open the show? > To: "Basia List Yahoo" , basia@smoe.org > Date: Saturday, August 22, 2009, 11:53 AM > > > Just curious what do you think of it? > Which song would you find the best for show opening? > I think I would go for "It's that girl again" or "If not now than when". > > I am also wondering which, if any (but I hope so), of the old songs they will include in concert.
