Sounds like you're putting up a good fight, which is always the best thing to do in times of adversity. Bev, I hope your job pulls through! I've been worried, but my husband has committed me to traveling wherever in the US I need to go to see Basia. You guys should have been there, it was like the movie moment when the guy grabs the other guy by the shoulders, stares right into their eyes and says YOU WILL SEE BASIA. I DON'T CARE. lol! But I'm truly not holding my breath that she will be able to be in my area- though with enough promotion (NOT LIKE LAST TIME IN '05) there's plenty of audience here. So maybe Chicago it will have to be, dunno. Or Boston? lol I'm thinking of places I can mooch accommodations! In any case, I am very happy they are looking at an acoustic style format. Not just so they can get here, period, but because I think their music will really shine when stripped down. Some expect studio replication when seeing a favorite performer, but I like the game to get switched up a bit. it IS live. And since I am the sole breadwinner for 3 of us.....I would be lying if I did not say that this is stressful - but as much stress both in and out of the workplace.... I have Basia - she plays all day on my iPhone.... Tour-wise I will take any date/s in Texas.... usually I can drive to Houston/San Antonio/Austin in a day. Dallas is a huge trip... so if they come to san Antonio again, I would love for it to be at the Empire theater - great acoustics! Plus I intend to bring them some gifts this time around....and an extra one for Mark. Again THANKS for all the prayers and good thoughts.... - -- Bev Okin-Larkin (back from a 10-hour day at work....) marzenie_99@yahoo.com wrote: > These times SUCK.
