In 2005 Basia was awarded with "Meritious for Polish Culture" badge (no 942/2005) by Minister of Culture Waldemar Dabrowski, that on befalf of Minister, she was given by Director of Polish Institute in Polish Embassy in London, on April 21st 2005. She was awarded with this distinction for popularization of Polish culture abroad. I have just found it some days ago from Polish Wikipedia article. But I can't find any yet. (but of course, I'm looking for it in english :-~) I remember years ago. I saw on a tv programme they went to the Polish ambassey in London. On the wall there were a kind of paintings (i remember pink as color) of famour Polish. You know where I am heading, B was one of them. Never saw it again. Thank you Frank! First impression was: I don't think I will like Oh Mama. Had to get used to the second, other voice. But now I can't it of my head. So, I'm curious where this song will end up in my ITGA list. Which is still impossible to make up, the songs are all so different, and beautiful. I can only group them. My ++Favorites-group now: Someone for Everyone, I Must, Two Islands and Love Lies Bleeding. With It's That Girl Again as runner up to join. Clear Horizon 09 I already heard on the Japanese release. I do like the new music, but I'm unsure if -for me -it fits with the lyrics: heavy story / light guitar music. Could be because I'm already very attached to the 98-version. Oh, something important about this song: Danny had nothing to do with it. Nissan or whoever was contracted to do this for Nissan had the music already, and they sent it to Basia and she just added her vocal. Sooo this is not a "Basia" song technically y'see. It helped a lot to pay the bills for making ITGA because that was back in the early days of starting it. Leslie PS-Hey, is this double posting driving anyone crazy?
