She looked it up and there's no store in Orlando that has a copy. Guess I'll be heading to the web site. They also had all their CDs half off (the sale before closing?) and I couldn't find anything I wanted. Struck out twice today with them. Jacki **************Feeling the pinch at the grocery store? But, they called the San Ramon, CA store, which said they had 6 copies, and would hold one for me. I'm loading it into iTunes right this moment. I haven't listened to the bonus tracks yet. At the first Borders, I also picked up the latest CD from Renee Olstead, which is very enjoyable. http://www.reneeolstead.com Stehen ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 29 Mar 2009 02:25:20 +0000 From: "Dennis Majewicz" Subject: Re: borders CD I haven't picked up Renee's CD yet but I've seen the video for Midnight Man. Good song. I really enjoyed her first album. Hard to believe she was 15 when she recorded it. She had the voice and interpretation of someone twice her age. Very talented. Anyway, I'm a sucker for standards and that album had a lot of good ones. - ------Original Message------ From: Stephen Ylvisaker Sender: owner-basia@smoe.org To: basia@smoe.org To: basia2@yahoogroups.com ReplyTo: basia@smoe.org Subject: Re: borders CD Sent: Mar 28, 2009 9:06 PM I went to my local borders and they were having a 40% off clearance of CD's and DVD's, so they didn't have any copies. Also well displayed in the featured/new CD area. Top-shelf, eye-level in one store and just one row down in the other (and well-placed next to Kelly Clarkson, the #1 CD in the country). Hopefully it will help sell the disk to some folks who will see it and say "Hey I remember her - she's good!" Of course I popped it in the CD player and listened on my (70-mile) drive home. It just sounds spectacular so far, can't wait to listed many more times and learn all the new songs. As for the new version of "Clear Horizon," my first thought was that it sounds like it might have if it had appeared on "Time and Tide."
